Bioscience core facilities in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur

Our core facilities have been set up to offer services (and occasionally collaborations) to academic and industrial partners, in order to accelerate research and development programmes by providing specialised equipment and expertise that is not readily available to individual laboratories and even institutes. Most of these facilities have been included into the IBiSA framework (national core facility programme), and all operate under the same principles:
Openness: the core facility is open to academic and industrial users, local, national or international, with adapted conditions in each of these three cases;
Each platform has dedicated space & personnel, allowing it to host users and collaborators (if necessary)
Each platform is under the responsibility of a specific individual and has a scientific council to oversee its operation. Quality assurance is ensured under specific norms (e.g. ISO 9001)
Each platform is also involved in research in order to keep at the cutting edge of technology, and takes part in training activities for students, scientists and technicians.
